Integration with Pandora FMS

Last modification: August 2026. Version: 109 OUM

Pandora FMS is monitoring software oriented towards all types of environments. It is currently fully integrated, since from Pandora FMS you can create and close tickets manually or automatically through alerts or event responses, as well as view and edit them from the section prepared for this purpose.

Starting from version 783 of Pandora FMS, an instance of Pandora ITSM can be installed jointly, and on a trial basis. For full details on this, see point 3 of this topic.

Configuration

Its configuration and visualization can be found in “Incident management”, where the necessary configurations for setting up the integration are explained step by step, as well as all the options it allows us.

Communication between Pandora FMS and Pandora ITSM is done through the PITSM API.

Inventory synchronization with Pandora FMS

Once bidirectional communication with Pandora FMS has been configured, when accessing through the Setup → Setup menu, Pandora FMS Inventory tab, the nodes (PFMS Servers) that have successfully managed to connect with the PITSM Server will appear, and the status of that connection will be shown:

-

Displayed information

  1. Label of the connected node.
  2. Connection path.
  3. Progress of the agents that have been synchronized.
  4. Time since the synchronization started.
  5. Time of the next execution.
  6. Connection status.
  7. Delete operations and option to restart the connection.

Joint installation of PITSM from the PFMS Web Console

By logging into the Pandora FMS Web Console with sufficient user rights, you will be able to access the joint installation with Pandora ITSM. The following instructions are all to be executed in the PFMS Web Console.

To do this, access the Management → Settings → System Settings → ITSM menu in Pandora FMS and click the Install ITSM button.

Next, it will be verified if the conditions are met to perform the joint installation.

A database named itsm will be created. The user used in PFMS (usually pandora) must have sufficient rights to work with this new database. Previously, the root administrator must execute an instruction such as:

GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON `itsm`.* TO `pandora`;

Once the installation is finished and to access for the first time the Pandora ITSM Web Console, you must click on the link shown at the end of the installation:

You can also verify if you have access to PITSM tickets from PFMS.
