Our 2026–2027 roadmap strengthens the areas with the greatest impact on the daily operations of IT teams:
artificial intelligence applied to operational analysis, APM, distributed tracing, advanced reporting, API-based automation, and integration with modern ecosystems such as OpenTelemetry, SAP ALM Cloud, and migration tools from other platforms.

Network monitoring icon

A roadmap focused on real-world operations

The evolution of Pandora FMS responds to a clear need: reducing operational complexity in increasingly distributed, hybrid, and critical infrastructures.

The goal is not to add more technology layers, but to help technical teams understand what is happening sooner, automate repetitive tasks, analyse relationships between events, and make decisions with more context.

The 2026–2027 roadmap combines features already delivered in Pandora 8 “Aquarius” LTS with new capabilities planned for upcoming releases, including Pandora AI, APM with Apache SkyWalking, OpenTelemetry, a new reporting system, API Automation, and migration tools from other platforms.

Analytics and performance icon

Artificial intelligence applied to IT operations

Pandora AI will be an intelligence layer integrated into the platform to analyse events, logs, metrics, inventory, security, and RMM from a unified view.

Its evolution includes support for analysis, API expansion, AIOps through LLMs, and agentic automation. The goal is to reduce operational noise, accelerate diagnosis, and allow certain tasks to be executed or proposed in an assisted way, always under operator control.

Pandora AI is also designed to adapt to different deployment requirements, combining local models and SaaS services according to each organisation’s needs for data sovereignty, performance, and technological flexibility.

Application monitoring icon

APM, distributed tracing, and OpenTelemetry

Pandora FMS will incorporate new Application Performance Monitoring capabilities through integration with Apache SkyWalking and OpenTelemetry.

This evolution will make it possible to analyse traces, latency, software dependencies, microservices, and backend performance from the Pandora FMS console, connecting infrastructure visibility with the real behaviour of applications.

With this, Pandora FMS moves towards more complete observability, capable of correlating infrastructure, services, applications, and operational experience in a single environment.

Log management icon

Advanced reporting and automated narratives

The new reporting system will connect dashboards, widgets, and dynamic templates to simplify the creation of more reusable, contextual reports adapted to different technical and executive profiles.

AI-driven evolution will enable the generation of natural language explanations about events, anomalies, and operational data, helping teams interpret information without relying only on charts or isolated metrics.

The goal is for reports not only to show data, but also to help explain what happened, what impact it has, and what actions may be required.

API-based automation

Full API coverage will be one of the technical foundations of Pandora FMS’s evolution.

It will enable operations automation, integration connectivity, and advanced AI-assisted management workflows. This line is key to turning Pandora FMS into a more open, automatable platform, ready for environments where manual operations no longer scale.

Cloud monitoring icon

Migration and integration with existing ecosystems

Pandora FMS will continue strengthening its ability to integrate with external technologies and already deployed environments.

Migration tools from PRTG and SolarWinds will simplify the transition from other monitoring platforms, while integrations such as SAP ALM Cloud and OpenTelemetry will extend visibility across applications, services, and modern architectures.

A platform to monitor, automate, and make better decisions

The future of Pandora FMS is focused on clearer, more automated IT operations, more closely connected to the real impact on the business.

The platform will continue evolving to unify monitoring, security, reporting, automation, APM, and operational intelligence in a single environment, while maintaining the flexibility required to adapt to heterogeneous infrastructures, on-premise, SaaS, or hybrid models, and the specific needs of each organisation.

Roadmap

2026

Pandora 8 "Aquarius" LTS

800 LTS Pandora 8 "Aquarius" LTS

Pandora FMS 2026 LTS version, with major improvements in architecture, security, RMM, SIEM, SOAR, FIM, Marketplace, Discovery, network maps, UX, NCM, IoT/MQTT, SAP S/4HANA, IBM i/AS400, and remote management.

803 Advanced topology discovery

Network topology inference beyond CDP/LLDP to improve visibility in complex environments. It uses a new type of element, the data bus, to approximate the representation of a network with devices that cannot be managed through SNMP or that do not provide complete CDP/LLDP information. Previous heuristics have been improved to approximate network representation at link and network levels, including the connection between the interfaces of all identified devices.

803/804 New dynamic reporting system

New reporting engine based on widgets shared with dashboards, dynamic filters, and reusable components. It will replace the previous reporting system and coexist throughout the 800 release until the next LTS. New report/dashboard elements will be implemented in Widget format, also allowing their use in dashboards. Progressive rollout throughout releases 803–809.

804/805 Pandora AI

Pandora AI proposes the development of an independent and modular component designed as an advanced operational intelligence server (AIOps). Its architecture is based on a multi-provider technology-neutral approach, enabling hybrid and flexible deployment that integrates both high-performance cloud models (SaaS such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) and local open-source instances (on-premise such as Ollama with Llama4, LocalAI with Mistral, or vLLM with DeepSeek). This design ensures digital sovereignty, data control, and cost optimization according to the needs of the operational environment.

The functional core of Pandora AI processes the platform’s knowledge base and common flows across the board — metrics, logs, events, inventory, RMM, and service topologies — structured around several incremental intelligence phases:

  1. Analysis support and noise reduction: implementation of interpretable models and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques for cross-correlation of events, probabilistic detection of statistical anomalies, and automated root cause identification, reducing alert fatigue by up to 80% and assisting human operators in decision-making.
  2. Proactive detection and inference: predictive analysis of time series and dynamic baselines applied to historical data, service maps, and network dependencies, making it possible to infer current incidents without a prior signature and anticipate future incidents by estimating critical metrics such as time to failure.
  3. Autonomous RMM resolution and agentic automation: an advanced operational capability based on the MCP architecture (Model Context Protocol). In the first stage, the system exposes enterprise APIs as secure tools so that AI can order the execution of remote diagnostics on endpoints and instantly collect forensic data. In its final phase, it evolves towards fully autonomous intelligent remediation (self-healing), where AI agents with their own reasoning cycle act directly on the environment through the RMM architecture (Tentacle) to resolve incidents.
  4. Automatic narratives (NLG): generation of natural language explanations for reports, events, and anomalies to simplify technical and executive interpretation.
  5. AI Management Layer: natural language interface integrated into Pandora FMS to execute administration tasks, configure agents, query events, and obtain contextual analysis without manually navigating the interface.

In summary, Pandora AI transforms conventional monitoring into an autonomous and proactive observability ecosystem, optimizing infrastructure costs and freeing technical talent from passive monitoring tasks.

805 Service impact analysis

Allows service impact to be manually simulated by reassessing the service in hypothetical unavailability scenarios for a specific manually selected service, in order to verify its impact.

806/807 Pandora APM

First integration with Apache SkyWalking for distributed tracing of microservices and applications, dependency visualization, latency analysis, and backend performance monitoring.

2027

Pandora 900 LTS "Odyssey"

809 OpenTelemetry

Native integration with OpenTelemetry to collect metrics, logs, and traces from applications, microservices, and cloud-native environments.

900 LTS Pandora 900 LTS "Odyssey"

New LTS version focused on operational AI, APM with SkyWalking, the new reporting system, full API-based automation, OpenTelemetry, and import from other platforms.

900 LTS API Automation

Full interface coverage through API to automate operations, integrations, and advanced workflows in Pandora FMS. Technical foundation required for the AI layer.

900 LTS Reporting for Discovery
