Pandora FMS IT inventory tool
Collect all the information from your IT infrastructure in an inventory that allows you to monitor the status of your IT assets from a single tool.
Obtain information automatically from your systems
With Pandora FMS you will be able to obtain information from your systems automatically, with software agents or remotely. Our IT inventory tool will allow you to collect out-of-the-box:
Firmware version (network hardware).
Applications installed on the computer (Windows, Android, Linux).
Serial numbers and licenses (e.g. Office, Windows).
Device configuration (network hardware).
Services in progress.
Storage and filesystems.
Network cards and their MAC associated with IP addresses.
Processor model and speed (Windows, Linux).
RAM modules and their capacity (Windows, Linux).
Storage devices (Windows, Linux).
The inventory system uses the software agents to launch remote scripts to get information from outside. In addition, you will have the ability to create custom inventory modules to collect specific information from your systems.
Detection of changes in configuration
Thanks to the IT asset inventory system, you will be able to find out from a list what changes in all your systems: if an unauthorized software package is installed on a server, or if a new user appears on a critical system. Pandora FMS is also able to show you the changes in those systems where it saves the configuration (e.g. a router). In addition, having a record of everything, you can see the different photos of the system over time.
IT inventory alerts and reports
You will be notified of any change in your IT assets (e.g. a new user in a system, a new application running on it, a change in the hardware version, etc.). There are several types of inventory reports that allow you to extract specific listings by inventory item type (e.g. Windows license) or by agent groups (all software packages installed on my computers). You will also be able to use real-time search tools that will help you locate pieces of hardware, users, vulnerable versions of software installed, among other options.

“In terms of money, the Enterprise version is the cheapest that I have found after a market study. The best ratio of quality and price. This is the best solution if you don’t want to get in trouble. Their project department has helped me at all times by adapting the software to the needs of my business. Even in the last implementation of the program, they have included a functionality that I asked for myself”.
“After trying to monitor efficiently with other solutions, I have come to the conclusion that in terms of price and practicality, Pandora FMS just has very little competition.

What is an IT inventory?
An IT inventory, or IT asset inventory, is a record of the IT assets (both hardware and software) held by a company or organization.
What do you need to keep in mind?
A good IT inventory tool should not only describe a list of items, but should include all the data necessary to perform its tasks.
- It will need to reflect as much basic information as possible, including key data about both hardware and software.
- But not only that; the tool must be able to display that information in an up-to-date way, so that the inventory is a true reflection of the actual state of the company’s IT assets.
For many companies, the breadth and heterogeneity of IT assets represent an obstacle when it comes to knowing how they are actually being used, as well as their number and characteristics.
Thus, having an IT inventory facilitates not only the knowledge of the resources actually available, but also a better control and use of these.
