    Hello Dear Community

I am currently testing Pandora fms for our company. Now I’m trying to make the connection between our agents and our client with SNMP trap and I’m not getting anywhere. I’ve tried to read up on it but I can’t get it to work. Could you please help me out?

    Thank you very much.

    Kind regards

    Hi Wesam,

First of all you have to edit the SNMP Trap config file /etc/snmp/snmptrapd.conf with the parameters you need.

Can you please post here the configuration file so we can take a look at it and give you some feedback?

    Kind regards.

Thank you very much Sergio. I activated now the parameter snmpconsole 1.

But i have the conf named like pandora_server.conf

Do you know what other important parameters i need to change? The clients hostname odr ip address? Or do i need do something on the client by itself?

Also i can not find this path on my server:

    /etc/snmp/snmptrapd.conf

    Thanks a lot

    Hello again Wesam,

Which linux distro are you working on?

We need to know this in order to know which path is the snmptrapd.conf file.

Also, did you checked to confirm that the SNMP Console now appears in Pandora Console?

and finally, do you have the net-tools package installed?

    Thank you very much,

    Kind Regards
