  • Disabling triggered module does not clear alert state

Posted by aeleus on August 27, 2023 at 22:52

Sometimes, a module will trigger an alert that is no longer relevant (e.g., target no longer exists).

If I disable the module in this alert-triggered state:

    – the module count returns to “all good” (e.g., 5:5 instead of 5:1:4 in agent detail view – good)

    – the module status returns to “all OK” (green in agent detail view – good)

    – the Alerts state remains as “Alert Triggered” (red or yellow in agent detail view – not good)

The module has been disabled. How do I clear this state?

    Hello,

Can you please attach a screenshot of the module configuration and the alert related to this module?

Do you receive the recovery from that alert?

If you don’t have any mail configured to receive you can see the recovery in the “Latest Events”

    Kind regards,

    Sergio B.

      Sergio,

Thanks for the quick reply. Your questions made me realize my problem. I disabled the module, but I did nothing about the associated Alert.

By disabling the Alert, I was able to clear the alert state. A simple but critical oversight on my part.

I’m not sure how possible this is, but maybe Pandora can warn of associated alerts when a module is disabled?
