Problems with the VMware® image, eth0 doesn’t work

Problem: eth0interface cannot be found. So, when I try to change the IP address it just doesn’t work (shows eth0: error while getting interface flags: no such device).

Solution:

Cleaning the cache will fix the eth0. It is caused by MAC caching, when you copy a VMware® image:

rm /etc/udev/rules.d/*.*
