How are the GNU/Linux logs monitored?

To monitor logs in GNU/Linux systems, Pandora FMS has two ways to manage the logs:

  • The grep_log plugin, with which, giving a specific path, we can search inside the log the desired content of match and create the corresponding module.
  • The grep_log_module plugin, that works exactly the same, but sending the log in question to the Pandora FMS log collector with “Syslog” as origin.
