So I am new to Pandora. I installed the VMWare image and ran it with VMWare player. Now what? I am running this in a Windows XP environment.

I suppose you have installed Pandora to monitor something, not ? 🙂

Try to install a windows agent, and to communicate that agent with your Pandora FMS vmware system. You probably need to read some documentation.

I am assuming that I have to assign my VM a static IP address. Will I then access that IP address from my Windows machine browser? Can I just use the IP address assigned to the Ethernet Tap Adapter for the VM?

As long as your network is in the subnet 192.168.50.X which I really doubt, you can. Otherwise, you gotta change your VMWare IP address to one that fits your network architecture and subnet
