  • [Solved] Pandora Servers: There are no servers configured in the database.

Posted by Jharis on February 17, 2011 at 02:40

Hi guys, I just installed pandora fms on Unubut 10.10. I’m a bit lost and need some direction. Under operation and administration I keep getting this message. ” There are no servers configured into the database”.

How do I set up my servers?

    thanks.

I guess you’ve only installed the PandoraFMS console (the web-based interface). It will run just fine, but it will give you that message.

You need to install “Pandora Server” and “Pandora Agent” on your Pandora Server (Ubuntu) as well. Then tell the console where the server is located (in this situation that would be localhost) and it should be up and running.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers.

I’m having the same issue. How do you point the console to the pandora_server. I have the Console, Server and Agent all installed on UBUNTU 10.10.

Ok I found the answer to my issue and I hope it will help others.
I didn’t realize it but you have to manually start the pandora server service by running: “sudo /etc/init.d/pandora_server start.” I then found out that you have to change the default password for the db user in /etc/pandora/pandora_server.conf. If you have forgotten that password you can go to /var/www/pandora_console/include/config.php. Good luck.
