Servers monitoring
Posted by Luc on April 16, 2009 at 04:56First – sorry for my English, it’s not my native language.
I testing Pandora in our network – this system look great. Now I try to monitoring Windows (and Linux) servers. Is it possible to monitoring server performance and alerting when something is wrong? For example – when disc free space is less than 10% or CPU utilization is above 90%? I installing agent on Windows machine and have that information (in Pandora Agents > Display of last data modules received by agent). But how to monitoring that values? When I displayed Agent Detail in section Full list of Monitors I have only Agent Keep Alive and Host Alive modules.
Is there something that I missing in configuration?manu replied 15 years, 10 months ago 3 Members · 3 Replies -

Hi Luc.
It is possible to do what you want. I’m doing this in my environment 😉
If you use the proc data type, you can have the state ok (green) when the return value is NOT zero and state bad (red) when the return value is zero. For this to work as you expected, you have to figure out a way to return this values when the threshold that you defined is reached.
The better aproach is to use the data type and configure an alert to rise in a defined threshold.
I hope this helps.
ps: I don’t have a good English either 😉
Regards.
