  • Problem testing the Pandora Agent installation

Posted by kram on May 10, 2007 at 20:13

I successfully completed installing the Pandora Agent in my windows machine(I have already completed installing the Pandora server in my linux box and it works fine with the webconsole).

I have been following the instalation guide step by step. Now after installation of the Agent, it asks me to edit the babel_agent.conf for configuring the agent. I dont fine such a file c:babel folder. For that matter I dont even find a folder called babel in c: in my windows machine.
    Am I doing something wrong?

I would really appreciate if someone can guide me on this. Thanks in advance!

Sorry, we mix sometimes pandora and babel in our documentation, because babel and pandora are relatives 🙂
In fact, I fixed this some time ago in the documentation which is in the SVN but we did not generate the pdf and replace it on the official documentation.
    Our fault, we’re deeply sorry

By the way, you should look for pandora_agent.conf in pandora_agent directory

    Thanks Manu!
Can you clarify one more thing for me?
While installing the agent, I copied the public key to a text file and saved it as id_dsa.pub in the agent’s key directory.
It was mentioned that I have to copy the same file(id_dsa.pub) into the pandora_server machine in the location /home/pandora/.ssh/authorized_keys/ folder. Am I right in doing that?
My home directory of the pandora user is not /home/pandora instead it is /home2/pandora/. Do I need to make any changes because of this?

The reason I am asking all this question is, because my pandora agent is not connecting with the server machine, though when I try pinging from the agent machine to the server machine it works fine

It’s the /home/pandora/.ssh/authorized_keys FILE, in your case, [code:1]/home2/pandora/.ssh/authorized_keys
