  • possible error on server detection

hi. I’m installing Pandora 1.2beta 2 build PS60629, founding this problem:

I have installed the console, the server and the agent on the same machine. Starting the server, named fex DAEVA, works perfectly as a normal user and as root. BUT, console autodetects a server whose name is DAEVA_DATA. Its state (pandra servers > daeva_DATA > status) is green.
The problem happens when I go to create an agent: there are no servers in the Manage Agents > Create Agent > Server combo.

someone has the same error? is it a bug or a misconfiguration of my system (debian/etch) ?

    thanks in advance

Yes, it is a small misconfiguration/transition “problem” between transition into Beta1 and Beta2 :-), sorry. Now servers has a “suffix” depending on type. For example “DAEVA” server name, is now called “Daeva_DATA” for Data Server and “Daeva_NET” for Network Server. Your network modules now only could be assigned to “Daeva_NET” server or any other NETWORK server you has defined in your setup, because there’re the only type of servers who can launch network sweeps.

You need to restart all your servers: they will create a new entry the first time (you need to delete the old ones), and reassign all your agents to the new network servers. At this time, there is no option to assign nothing to a “data_server”; thats because new features will be added in 2.0 version, probably at the end of this year.
