    Hi all,

I just wanted to let you PandoraFMS users that due to hour change in all Europe, all of you using PandoraFMS in machines that suffered the hour change you might need to restart all your PandoraFMS services (pandora_server, pandora_network etc)
This is because the hour between 2 and 3 AM happens twice, so PandoraFMS will show “out of limits” (even though the data is processed and stored, so there’s no data loss)

    Thank you all!
    Manuel.

Hi Folks. I configured the timezone to match our summertime (Im in Brazil) and I did the restart (version 1.3) twice. After the first one all the agents show “Out of bands” the timestamp value is negative (?) and is between -50 and -59 min… This is weird…. Any ideas about how to fix this? I did a second restart, but the situation is the same…

We don’t support TZ right now, though, we’re going to implement that soon.
A workaround can be to change either your hour in the server and in the agent to have the same hour.

I tried to do what you suggested, but have no success…. 🙁 Shoul´d you explain how the timestamp works? Maybe I could realize what is the problem here… The machines where the agents are installed changed the time correctly (summertime). The problem appears only when I restarted the server after changed the timezone of the summertime… I tried to advanced and back the clock in 1 hour, but the problem remains the same…

By the way, there is a prevision for the final release of version 2.0? I would like to install this version in my production environment.

Thank you anyway for the help.

Is the server hour set up correctly as well?

The 2.0 will be out in a few days, if you can’t wait, you can always download the branches code, that’s the final code we’ll package.

    Thanks a lot Manu.

About the hour set up, I will post the results of other tests as soon as I did them.

I will wait for the 2.0 final version. Afterwhile, I will install the agents in the new servers that arrived here in our environment. I need to test some thresholds and set up more alarms. We are using pandora here for 6 months now and really appreciate the results. Up to now we have:

    Monitor checks: 96
    Data checks: 393
    Total Agents: 25
    Total Checks: 489
    and 4 e-mail alerts configured

    Regards.

About the hour, I delayed the server time by hand two hours. After the weekend, no more “Out of bound” messages in pandora. The alerts and the graphs show the wrong time (2 hours delayed), but I can live with that 😉

    Thanks and regards Manu.
