  Pandora FMS – How to start

  Hello everyone! I´m new to Pandora FMS and would like to install the software onto Xubuntu 9.04. I already downloaded the pandoraFMS_v2.1.tar.gz, extracted it to a temp folder and I have also read the official installation guide.

  But somehow what´s written there isn´t clear to me, especially those things with dependencies. Do I have to install a LAMP-server first or does the automatic installation include all dependencies (plus webserver and mysql). I tested the automatic install but I get an error that Net:Traceroute:PurePerl is missing. Strange thing is: I DID install this with cpan, so it should be there.

  Thanks for any help (or a simple tutorial of course) 😉

  EDIT: I solved the “Net::Traceroute:PurePing” problem by using “apt-get install traceroute” first. I hope I can configure this thing now…
