Pandora Agent on Windows Problem
Posted by sillyPandora on August 9, 2007 at 21:15I am having a problem on Windows machine that I cannot solve. The debug log and pandora-log.log gives me no errors. But the server is not receiving the data file. What should I do?
This happened after I moved the Pandora Server to a new ip address in a new subnet. But I made sure I can obtain connection to Pandora. I used SSH. Is there a way I can change the known_hosts on the windows machine? (linux path is at /home/pandora/.ssh/known_hosts, i have to change this file on all my linux agent machines) but i can not find the same thing on windows
However, the windows agent does not give me any kind of error message either. I am completely frustrated. I even tried to reinstall the agent. >__< any help please?

Well i see you found the answers by yourself, thats really good, it happens to me a lot, i spent 2, 3 hours trying to do something, then i got lost and i post the question, then the next day i start again and find the answer by myself.
Its the beauty of open source, the “do it by yourself” research…
Well i hope you got everything working now.
If you need any help post here, manu and the other guys will surely help you.
Good luck

We now some of the problems for the user is the lack of documentation, we are trying to improve this point at this moment, adding a Wiki (http://www.openideas.info/wiki/index.php?title=Pandora) that is growing slowly.
If any of you want (and can) help with documentation, there you can add your two cents to Pandora FMS.
One important thing that should be added is Troubleshooting, or how to solve the same problems that every user has 😀

Raúl

We have just released Windows agent for Pandora FMS 1.3 Beta 2, that includes by default FTP transfer, easiest to configure, we hope 😀
Download it from Sourceforge
