Good idea, but please, report not only commercial software, its interesting to see another opensource projects about monitoring. All ideas are welcome

Uptime seems great for Windows system, but what about Unix systems ?, it only shows SNMP capability and remote access for Windows machines.

This thread was just something like sort of “I saw something, which might provide some new or fresh ideas for a project I like to give to most input I can.”
The next thread will be about an open-source system… 🙂
Btw: I am currently not sure wether you already took care about it, but I got something in mind that while using SNMP you should take care about 64-bit-Systems. If I remember right there was some issue with the data which SNMP delivers which is different/buggy at those systems.

Oopps, I need to test it (SNMP on 64Bit plattform), I dont know about ut 🙁
