  • Network module doesn’t work

Posted by deadeye on November 23, 2008 at 08:02

The network module only get data one time after its creation, while other data modules autorefresh every five minutes.
I check the log file and find the lines as below
    Perl exited with active threads:
    4 running and unjoined
    0 finished and unjoined
    0 running and detached

    Please advise

Just a comment, I have followed the document, assigned a network server to the agent, and create a network module to check ssh port of a remote server.

Is the network server running? Do you get the same problem with others network modules such as Host Alive?

Yes, the server is running. Host Alive works fine.
I found lots of messages like this in the pandora_server.error
DBD::mysql::st execute failed: MySQL server has gone away at /usr/local/bin/pandora_network line 549.

So, the SSH module has its timestamp in red? And the last contact gets higher and higher?

Yes, the last contact gets higher and higher, but the timestamp is not in red, it’s negative.

    Negative??? That’s odd!
Ok, delete that module, and create it again.
Also, stop the network server and run it with:

    /usr/local/bin/pandora_network /etc/pandora/pandora_server.conf

Let me know how that works

2.1 version is DEVELOPMENT version. Should work, BUT could have problems and interim database upgrades. I don’t recomend to use if not working on code.

Server and console are using the same machine ?, if not, have their time syncronized ?
