Hi

First off all,great program, very nice work! I’m using it for my internship at Nokia Siemens Networks. On thursday I have a presentation about Pandora where it is going to be compared against cacti (used by another student) and the best proposition is going to be used for a project. I have figured out the most but to make the best possible claim i have a couple of questions left:

1)Where can i find the network agents modules config? I know that the linux data agents modules are under “pandora_agent.conf” but I can’t find them anywhere for the network agent.

Are you asking for instance about the “Host Alive” module? If so, they’re not defined in any text file, you just have to do it from the web console.

2)Under Manage agentsModule tabModule assignment(bottom page) there is a dropdown box showing all my network agent modules but no data agent modules. How can i fix this?

There’s nothing to fix there, actually, that’s how it’s supposed to be. You cannot define data modules, for example, the amount of cpu being used in a box from the webconsole, it’s only for remote checks.

3)When I shutdown the pandora server and put it back on the next day, instead of showing zero for the offline time it shows the last known value on the graphics. Again how can i fix this?

Again, nothing to fix there, that’s how it is.
The pandora console report the last status which was reported by the agent, but on the right side it says for how long the agent has not been contacted again.

If you want to change the above points, basically second and third one, you’ll have to change the webconsole code 😉
