Hi,
I have some emails problems again. I have installed Pandora 3.0 FMS on Ubuntu 9.10.
The Alert is fired but the email is not sent.

Did you check the configuration setting of the system and the email account you have. Maybe there’s an error regarding in the setting, like it has a conflict or incompatible in the setting. However, you can try to search in internet I think you can found some info that related in your problem.

I have to be honest, very confused. I must be missing something. If I send the following from the terminal (linux appliance install) logged in as root (only configured server user) it sends the email, no issues:
echo “test” | mail -s “test subject” [email protected]I’ve tried leaving the MTA settigns as default, no luck. Configured for SMTP auth, no luck (using gmail and google apps accounts). The template looks good (proper email destination). I always see the following message in my console system log:
2011-03-01 22:34:23 linux-pandora [V1] [ERROR] Sending email to [email protected] with subject [PANDORA] Alert from agent NM-laptop-Down on module Host Alive
So, I went looking in /var/log/mail* and I can’t find any logs for email – wierd – can’t figure it out, as I’d like to determine *why* the mail send is failing.Any help is greatly appreciated. Thx – Drew
