I’m trying to setup an alert to fire when an Eventlog message occurs. I’ve configured the Windows Pandora Agent with the Eventlog Module to pass Eventlog Warnings and Errors to the Pandora Server, and it works fine.
Now i want to create an alert to get fired and make an Pandora Event when an Eventlog or Warning occurs, so I made a Alert Template with the ‘Condition type‘ = ‘Not equal to‘ and left the value box empty. In the information now showing ‘the alert would fire when the value is not Empty. and that is exactly what I want, I pressume…
    The ‘
Min.number and Max.number of alerts‘ are ‘0‘ and ‘1‘. But no alert is fired, while error occurs in the Eventlog Module and the module shows the Eventlog message.
How can I setup alerting in this case?

Use a blank space instead an empty value, or any other caracter or string, like for example “this never should be happen” 🙂

Thank you for your answer. I got it working now, I think. I used the configuration shown in the attachment. I used two Alert Templates: One for Eventlog Errors (Critical) and one for Eventlog Warnings (Warning). In the Agent configuration I created for every Eventlog (System, Application etc.) two modules: one with Eventtype Warning and one with Eventtype Error. The Alerts in de webconsole are coupled to this Eventtypes, and the Alerts fire an Pandora Event when an Eventlog message occurs! Things are working fine now!
