alarms Min/Max values inverted?
Posted by daggett on January 3, 2007 at 16:46Hi,
I was setting up an alarm (first time I’m using Alarms), and entered the minimal value (40), then the maximal value (60).then clicked OK, and went on the agent page to see if the alarm was listed.
So the alarm is listed but the Min/Max column shows 60/40…
The last value for the “Alarmed” module is 36, the alarm seems to have been triggered though because the number of times is incremented to 1 … but I didn’t received any email…Bye for now

Hi,
I also use 1.2 version it seems that the Min/Max values are inverted just for the display.BUT I also tried the “Internal Audit” alert, and it’s the same: nothing in the System Audit part of the console.
Both eMail and Internal Audit alerts have generated an event in the Show Event part of Pandora Console, but none have done what they are supposed to do (send eMail and add a line in pandora audit part of the console).I’m using Pandora v1.2 (Server/Agent/Console) on Mandriva 2006/2007 servers, the pandora server is on a Mdv 2007.
the mail program is installed as /bin/mail .
What have I done wrong?
bye

What build number of Pandora 1.2 ?, I remembered that MIN/MAX switched values was a bug in the beta2 or beta3 if my memory doesnt fail me.
I’ve just created a bug item on SF about the problem with audit. I’m sure we could create a workaround in a few days if really this bug is happening in final 1.2 version.

Hello!
I have tried with all the language files and created modules, and I see in all the same:
Module name Type Interval Description Module group Max/Min Action
Test300 Test module General 8 / 4 Delete Update And alert:
Name / Type Alert Time threshold Min/Max Description Action
agent_keepalive/ LogFile 300 1/3 Test Delete UpdateThat’s, in the “Modules assignés” section the data is in max/min format, but in alerts is in min/max format.
If this is the problem, the solution is very easy, and you’re right, maybe it’s a bit confusing in one section use max/min and in other min/max.
