Agent stops working if conf file format is not UTF8
Hi,
We discovered a bug that affects the agent.
We edited the conf file in an editor and it changed the formatting from UTF-8 to UCS-2 LE. The file contents appear identical in notepad however the Agent stops reporting and does not output to either the agent or debug log even though the service starts without error. We have to manually specify to save in UTF-8 for it to work.
At the surface the agent appeared to be working fine in the console because other modules such as ping report the agent is up. However on further inspection none of the agent based modules are working.
I think the agent would be improved if there was an error message or output to the debug log if it is unable to load the conf file.
