How can I run a software agent at Cisco®?

A Software Agent cannot be installed inside a Cisco® router. To be able to monitor such a router there are several options:

  1. Use the SNMP remote monitoring from the Pandora FMS server as well as the reception of traps from the router itself to the Pandora FMS server.
  2. Have a machine on the same local area network (wired) to the Cisco® router and install a Software Agent on it and monitor from it with SNMP type data modules.
  3. Have a Satellite machine (Enterprise version) installed that can access through SNMP to the Cisco® router.
  4. Use the “remote execution” type network modules to be able to access the machine directly through SSH and obtain the desired data.
