    Hi,

it’s possible with PandoraFMS OpenSource in a HA scenario, configure more Pandora Network/Plugin/WMI Server pointing to a same Database (or Cluster)?

I tried to do it with 1 physical machine with Data/Net/WMI Server… (in Master mode) and a secundary machine with only Net/WMI/Plugin (in Slave mode) that use the 1st machine mysql database.

But between each others see them offline (the event list have a lot of “Server *** going Down”.)

    —-

    Gracias,

    Dario

    Hi Dario,

Yes, it is possible to setup Pandora FMS open source in a HA scenario, but you need to have all the servers synchronized with ntp to avoid time differences among them that may cause a strange behaviour.

    Cheers,
      Pablo

Yes, both servers are synchronized by ntp every hour.
But the 1st see the pandora servers of the 2nd offline, and viceversa.

The Database and Pandora DataServer are installed only on the 1st, and the 2nd have the pandora_server.conf in master=0 mode.

Thank you for the fast reply,

    Dario

Could you send me your pandora_server.conf (in both servers), but remove database password 🙂

The problem was the local time conf.

    I done a

    dpkg-reconfigure tzdata

on the second debian-box and now all is ok.

There’s a way to configure pandora to check the UTC and not the local time?

Not at this time. We are made a few new options to say servers ignore timedata coming from the agent (one by one) or even a global switch to say server that all data processed will get the server localtime, but different servers need to have exactly the same time syncronization, and timezone.
