wmic not found
Posted by tnine on June 13, 2009 at 21:18Hi all,
I recently installed the latest source to a CentOS 5.3 system. I’m receiving the following errors when my server goes to start[E] wmic not found. Pandora FMS WMI Server needs a DCOM/WMI client
Does anyone where I can get a wmi client for CentOS? Give that a majority of our production environment is Windows. Getting this working is very important.
Thanks,

Other pandora user has emailed me a link for a Wmiclient binary for CentOS, I’ve uploaded to our sourceforge download page:
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=155200&package_id=311814&release_id=664270
Hope this helps,

Thanks for the link.
I actually had some trouble with this one, so I went out and downloaded the source and built it. My company is working on an active web checker module (via a background firefox process) to contribute. As such I’ve started to document our setup process on CentOs. I have outlined how we installed everything from source. Hopefully this will help someone else.http://openideas.info/wiki/index.php?title=Pandora_3.0:CentOS_Installation
