    hello all.
First of all I’m a newby, and I apreciate all help I can find so one day in short time I can also help others out 🙂

I’m having some trouble starting recon and pandora_Server:

Undefined subroutine &main::daemonize called at /usr/local/bin/pandora_recon line 62.
Cannot start Pandora FMS Recon Server. Aborted.

Undefined subroutine &main::daemonize called at /usr/local/bin/pandora_server line 57.
Cannot start Pandora FMS Data Server. Aborted.

I searched over and over and I can’t find this problem so I can figurer it out.

Using ubuntu 7.10 and fms 1.3
    Thanks in advance.

This sound exactly like your running a mixed version of 1.3.1 and 2.0 development version. Delete all, and try to start from scratch. And be sure to make a “make install” as root user to replace any Pandora FMS .pm libraries if there are present on your system.

Hello. Thanks for your kind help, only I’m a bit confused. I used Quick Installation Guide for Pandora FMS Server 1.3 but not without before reading the all wiki documentation. So, I’m not understanding why I might have mixedup versions. Is there anyway to check versions in machine ?

    Thanks!

    Hi!

Did you downloaded 1.3FMS from sourceforge?

The lines that gives the problem in those server is:
    &daemonize

that means that Perl is calling a subroutine.

You can find it into the lib/PandoraFMS/Tools.pm file, this file should have copied in your perl lib directory when installing using the make.
