ICMP privilege issue (pandora user)

Do I need to sudo pandora to make the ICMP monitoring possible?

I am getting the following message:
2008/02/27 08:52:12 pandora_Net [V1] ERROR Code: icmp ping requires root privilege at /usr/bin/pandora_network line 281

I’m afraid so.
Since you have to open sockets, you need to be root.
