  • Pandora FMS Server stops working after a while

    Hi,

I have a Pandora FMS Server v1.3 Final release up and running on a Ubuntu 7.04 Server. I leave this server on at all times with the 4 Pandora services running (Network, Data, SNMP Console, and Recon). I am noticing that for some reason, after a couple of days running, the services seem to stop. For instance, I left for the weekend and all 4 services where running fine, when I came back this morning, I noticed all services where down and the Linux server was still up and had not lost power since I still had the same windows open on the desktop. What can be happening? Am I missing something?

This is what I’m doing in order to start the services:

    root@wanmon1:~# /usr/bin/pandora_server -D /etc/pandora/pandora_server.conf

    root@wanmon1:~# /usr/bin/pandora_network -D /etc/pandora/pandora_server.conf

    root@wanmon1:~# /usr/bin/pandora_recon -D /etc/pandora/pandora_server.conf

    root@wanmon1:~# /usr/bin/pandora_snmpconsole -D /etc/pandora/pandora_server.conf

    Thank you. ❓ ❓

Have you taken a look at the logs? Usually /var/log/pandora/*

Why you don’t use the daemon scripts?

    Raul,

yes, I have and it’s only showing me agent alert errors. Nothing related to services.

    Thank you.

Try using the pandora_* init scripts
