MySQL ERROR: Can’t connect to local MySQL server through soc
Hi,
I have installed Pandora FMS 1.2 in my linux machine. But, when I try to view it through my web browser. I get this error:Warning: mysql_pconnect() [function.mysql-pconnect]: Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ‘/tmp/mysql.sock’ (2) in /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/pandora_console/include/config.php on line 42

Cannot connect with Database, please check your database setup in the ./include/config.php file and read documentation.Probably any of your user/database/hostname values are incorrect or database is not running.

Through the command prompt, I can succesfully connect to mysql in the linux box using the same credentials defined inside the config.php files. Can you please tell me what could be going wrong here? Any tips to trobleshoot this problem?

You have to install the php5-mysql package and restart apache:[code:1]apt-get install php5-mysql
apache2ctl stop
apache2ctl start
