18. Events

An eventEvent is everything that happens within the system.system; Itfrom maythe becreation of a module creationto or evena user login in the console.Console. The event itself is a descriptive text of the problem, its source, origin, an agent, and its creation date.

Pandora FMS allows displayingthe real-time visualization of all happenings in real time all the events of yourour monitored systems.systems; Withwith this information, information youwe maycan carry outperform the necessary actions according to the createdevent event.created.

Information is shown aboutranging from any module status changes, change, launchedtriggered or recovered alerts, to system restarts or custom events.

Depending on the information carried by the event has, event, it will appear in one color or another. For example, if an information event saysarrives stating that a module has gone intoentered a critical status, state, this event will appear in red.

Thanks to this default viewview, youwe maycan see theobserve active "problems" in real time.

GoingEvents intofor transitioning to an incorrect state, critical or warning events, are automatically validated whenupon therecovering situation returns to normal.normality. This is what iswe known in Pandora FMS ascall event auto-validation in Pandora and it is an essential feature, functionality, sinceas it allows to hide thehiding information that is no longer relevant in the event console.

There is the possibility in Pandora FMS ofto settingset alerts on events, so that instead of acting on each module, it couldcan be done on a specificcertain group of modules, generalizing monitoring and making alert deployment much easier.

Correlation and event alerts are an Enterprise feature.

Besides,Furthermore, correlation rules can be created on the events, creatingdeveloping trueauthentic logical heuristics when dealing with events. Obviously, these are advanced and complex features that are not seencovered in this quick guide.
