Unable to Install Pandora 7 Console on Debian 9
#1
Hi,

When I was installing the console, the progress was stuck on the step 5 when it was creating the new database.

.png   pn.png (Size: 101.05 KB / Downloads: 4)

I also tried to create a new database manually and proceed with the installation by selecting "an existing database". However, none of them worked.

What's more, I tried to change the MySQL configuration according to this thread but didn't work for me either
https://pandorafms.com/forums/archive/in...-8484.html

I'm sure the password for MySQL was correct. How can I collect more installation logs and debug the issue?

Good morning nabor,

Can you please tell me what version of Pandora FMS are you trying to install, in what S.O are you trying to install it and how (ISO, rpm...)?

Could you please try to see if MySQL is running when you try to create the database.

Best regards,

Alberto

Hi Alberto,

Thanks for your replying. I'm using the latest deb package: pandorafms.console_7.0NG.730.deb and pandorafms.server_7.0NG.730.deb.

I did a manual install yesterday by reading the install.php: create the database, import the db data and modify the conf files. It looks good now. But I'm still wondering what caused this issue.

What's more, the server health bar looks strange: why it's an empty bar while others aren't.

Good morning nabor,

The "no bar" of the server health usually means that you haven´t started the server with the "/etc/init.d/pandora_server start". Can you please make a screenshot of all the pandora_console. Can you see a circle with a red cross in it? Thats also why the Updated state of your servers is 22 hours.

The "no bar" of the server health usually means that you haven´t started the server with the "/etc/init.d/pandora_server start". Can you please make a screenshot of all the pandora_console. Can you see a circle with a red cross in it? Thats also why the Updated state of your servers is 22 hours.

Hi Alberto,

I found I couldn't start it by using "systemctl start pandora_server.service" because the -D option won't work:
Code:
# /usr/bin/pandora_server /etc/pandora/pandora_server.conf -D

Pandora FMS Server 7.0NG.730 Build 181217 Copyright (c) 2004-2018 Artica ST

Good morning nabor,

Try to use sudo before the command /usr..

Did this helped you with the health server bar?

Will look why the systemctl does not work, meanwhile, please use the other methods to start pandoras services.
