Operation of custom fields and their priority in alert configuration

There are two different ways of operation depending on the type of alert we are setting up:

  •  SNMP alerts

The priority is as follows: command > configure SNMP alert > action. This implies that what is configured in the command prevails, then what is configured in the SNMP alert itself and finally what is configured in the action to be performed.

  • Rest of Alerts

The priority is as follows: command > action > alert template. This implies that what is configured in the command prevails, then what is configured in the action to be performed and finally what is configured in the alert template.
