Pandora FMS 3.0: Update from Console not working
Hi!
We’re using Pandora FMS 3.0 on a Ubuntu 10.04 Server machine. We installed it using the .deb packages one can download from Sourceforge. When I open Pandora in the browser the bottom line says: Pandora FMS v3.0 – Build PC091228
In Administration -> Setup I have enabled the automatic update check and Pandora tells me on the front page “There’s a new update for Pandora”. Clicking on the link it tells my that my system version number is 0 and that a new version with id 19 is available.
If I click on Update the page basically stays the same with just one line saying “UPDATING…” but still telling me about the new version available and still offering an update link. Nothing more happens after that, i.e. Pandora does not update and does not print any error.
What is going wrong here? How can I find out what the problem is? What can I do to update Pandora from the console?
Is there a way to update Pandora manually (i.e. by downloading files and installing them on the server)? Looking on Sourceforge it seems there is only version 3.0 available. However, as Pandora tells me about the update, where can I find files newer than 3.0?
Thanks in advance!
Florian
Update: To make this clear: We are using the free version of Pandora. If this update feature is enterprise-only, the description on the update page is not very clear (in my opinion) and it should be clarified that this feature will not work in a free version or -even better- the Update link/button should not be available. But still, my question is: Where can I find updates to Pandora for a manual update?
