    Hi everyone,

I have a brand new installation and the Discovery Server shows as disabled (on Windows Server 2012 R2). Everything else shows as good.

I checked the Discovery activation in pandora_server.conf and the value is 1.

    Hi sigourneyanderson,

After activating the Discovery server in the server conf  (discoveryserver 1), have you restarted the Pandora FMS service?

If it does not activate, can you check the server log file to see if there are any error messages?

    Best regards,
    Víc.

If this is a Windows Installation I had the same problem. The logs show that nmap.exe is missing. This is an opensource program which goes along with Winpcap. You have to install nmap.exe and then make sure that binary is copied into the Windows Directory.

This appears to be a bug with the Installer program on Windows. Linux doesnt have the same problem.

    https://nmap.org/download

once I install nmap, and reloaded the service, then the discovery server showed as started.
