MSI creation of windows agent
Hi,
I would like to create an MSI of the Windows Agent, for massive installation through AD.a) has anybody done that? is something ready out there?
b) is the configuration file of installjammer available?
b) except of the files in c:program filespandora_agent, are there any other files required?
c) except of the service registration and the uninstall information, is there anything else required in the registry?Thanks in advance,

a: – yes i did it, but there is a problem with the elevation privileges on Win 7. So it didn’t work in that environment (yet, i’m working on).
b: – not for 3.0 release.
c: – not for agent ver 3, in v2 tentacle_client.exe must be placed in windowssystem32.
d: – 2 things are important: services registration, and path.
the registration, you can do it when install it with .exe or can be done by pandora_agent.exe –install (at cmd.exe).
for the path, same … “pandora utils=C:Archivos de programapandora_agentutil” for v3 and
“path = %path%; C:Archivos de programapandora_agent” for v2.
uninstall is not necesary. -
