  • how to make the status change in a module?

Posted by Anonymous on February 2, 2010 at 01:04

I have just installed Pandora FMS 3.0 server on a Linux box and set up a Linux agent.  I am monitoring the CPU Load Average.  Somehow the status always show green even i set the value on Warning and Critical status.

I have these settings in the module.

    Warning Status:
    Min: 2.00
    Max: 3.00

    Critical Status:
    Min: 4.00
    Max: 5.00

The cpu load on the linux agent is >8. but it still shows green.

what do i need to do to make it change the status (from green (normal) -> yellow (warning) or red (critical)?

    Thanks,

In your example setup will be:

    Warning Status:
    Min: 2.00
    Max: 0

    Critical Status:
    Min: 4.00
    Max: 0

With 8, status will be critical ( because it’s greater than 4), if you will get 3, this will be warning. And any value under 2 will be normal.
