WMI query Windows Server 2008
#1
hi everyone

i am trying to do wmi querys to windows 2008 and 2008 R2 servers. i tried this query:

wmic -U domain/administrator //172.16.42.101 "select * from Win32_ComputerSystem"

it gave me this error:
NTSTATUS: NT code 0xc002001b - NT code 0xc002001b

the same query works on windwos 2003 systems.

the pandora server is running on a debian. i am using the wmi-client you provided on sourceforge (wmi-client_0112-1_amd64.deb).

i read that windows 2008 has a sligthly different wmi implementation. could that be the problem?
does anyone know how i can get wmi running for windows 2008 servers?

cheers,
tobias

I know, its an old post, but I had this problem with different Pandora servers. There is no real solution, the best way was to change the wmi client. With wmi-client_1.3.14-3_i386 I have less problems, most of all wmi errors could be solved. You can get it here: http://www.mikepalmer.net/tag/wmi/
