Monitoring VMware virtualization
Pandora FMS enables to monitor virtual architectures easily without affecting the performance of any resource hosted by them.
Pandora FMS has specific plugins to monitor VMware and RHEV (Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization). They use official resources to extract information from your virtual architecture. Thus, it assures the proper performance of your virtualization system.

Official APIs and SDK can be used without affecting performance. Main features of this plugin:
- The whole architecture infrastructure can be monitored (Data Centers, Clusters, Hosts, Virtual machines, storing and virtual networks).
- Entities autodiscovery.
- Creation of maps with links between elements.
- Configurable monitoring with more than 50 variables.

In addition, the plugin offers advanced features. With VMware View you can see the whole VMware architecture at a glance. Thanks to VMware Manager you can manage virtual machines (switch off/suspend/switch on) through Pandora FMS web console.
All the features of this plugin are compatible with Pandora FMS Software Agents, so you can install an agent in a virtual machine and get information from the "inside". The result is a global view of the whole RHEV virtualization system.
Monitoring Amazon EC2 Cloud with Pandora FMS
Pandora FMS has a specific plugin to monitor Amazon EC2 Cloud which allows you to monitor the Elastic Cloud parameters alongside traditional data center parameters.
This plugin uses CloudWatch official API to collect all kind of data from your EC2 infrastructure. You can get information of memory usage, cpu usage or instance status.
The combination of this plugin with the Pandora FMS Agents installed in the virtual machines is a very powerful monitoring package. It enables to monitor the whole Amazon EC2 infrastructure and the applications running inside.
